The Vitality Chicken Run is taking runners to the Joburg CBD.
A collaborative effort with expert teams and city-wide collaboration ensures a smooth and secure experience for all participants.
The Vitality Chicken Run, flavoured by Nando’s, is more than just a run – it’s a unique invitation for South Africans to reconnect with the heart of Johannesburg and experience the city’s exciting transformation first-hand.
Johannesburg’s Central Business District is home to some of the country’s most iconic, history-rich landmarks – including Constitution Hill, Nelson Mandela Bridge and Gandhi Square, amongst others – and thanks to the urban renewal efforts led by Jozi My Jozi, in collaboration with both public and private sectors, this area has started undergoing a revitalisation that few South Africans have had the chance to truly explore – until now.
Nando’s, a proud resident of Lorentzville and committed partner of Jozi My Jozi, set out to create a meaningful way for the broader community to experience the transformation of Johannesburg’s CBD firsthand. Through a strategic collaboration with Discovery Vitality, the Vitality Chicken Run was born – a vibrant, fun, and safe running experience designed to celebrate the city’s spirit, showcase its ongoing revival, and highlight its incredible potential.
“This is not just a run – it’s a celebration of Jozi and a call to join the reimagination of our inner city,” says Robbie Brozin, Nando’s co-founder and founding member of Jozi My Jozi. “We want every runner to feel inspired by what’s happening in our city. And for them all to participate, where they can – the opportunities are endless!”
